About Michael
After moving to Hawaii in 1977, I have made sure I avoid the pool, as much as possible. Nothing on earth, or nothing in the water, compares to open water swimming, be it La Peruz off Maui's Southern shores, Aquatic Park in San Francisco, the Waikiki Roughwater Course, or another favorite, Ehukai to Waimea Bay, summertime, on Oahu's North shore. I am excited to be part of this great swim, the Gertrude Ederle Swim, in 2010, and what remains to this day, as my all time favorite competition, is the 2004 MIMS in which I participated.
