Scheduled for August 16, the Statue of Liberty Swim is a 1.2-kilometer counterclockwise swim around Liberty Island, the home of the Statue of Liberty. Taking place on Friday evening, it is a fantastic way to enjoy the island after hours.
NYC Swim will provide ferry transportation for swimmers, land-based volunteers, and ticketed guests to and from the event. We will also host a post race BBQ on the island.

Pool Certification in a manner consistent with the sample template
, which can be accessed on your user profile swimmer page, documenting the completion of a continuous pool swim of 1650 yards/1500 meters in 35 minutes or better since January 1, 2013. To provide the best indicator of open water ability and a solid basis for comparison with other swimmers’ pool times, the pool swim should ideally be done in a deep-water, competition-length pool. A USMS One Hour Swim of at least 2825 yards/2570 meters (entered with the coach or official in lieu of the lifeguard name) from January 2013 may be used to fulfill this requirement.

Swimmers who enroll after August 2nd must submit their qualification information to NYC Swim within 24 hours of enrollment. Participant's qualifications will not be accepted, reviewed or approved on race day.
