Ederle Swim Two-Way Record Attempt

On Tuesday, June 14, Liz Fry, holder of the Reverse Manhattan Island Marathon Swim record, will attempt yet another swimming challenge when she takes a crack at setting the record for a double completion of the Ederle Swim course Manhattan to Sandy Hook, NJ, and back again, a distance of 35 miles over a difficult course never tried before in whole. She will be aiming for the one-way record on the way to New Jersey (set by Tammy van Wisse in 2006 - 5 hours, 6 minutes, 48 seconds), and if she completes the course in the predicted time will set three world records.

Congratulations to Liz Fry, whose successful Two-Way Ederle Swim (11 hours, 5 minutes, 7 seconds) on June 14 has resulted in 3 world records! [GPS Log] [Twitter reports]
