Brooklyn Bridge Swim

On September 9, 2006, NYC Swim will present the first annual Brooklyn Bridge Swim. The event will start on the Manhattan side at Dover Street near the South Street Seaport. Participants will swim parallel along the southern line of the Brooklyn Bridge then north, northeast along the seawall of Empire-Fulton State Park to the beach in Brooklyn Bridge Park immediately prior to the Manhattan Bridge.

Swimmers should be aware that they will be facing a cross current which will require adjustments while swimming in order to maintain a straight course.

Date:09/09/2006 (Saturday)
